In the 21st episode of Perceived Value host Sarah Rachel Brown sits down with blacksmith Rachel David. Rachel currently resides in New Orleans where she runs her business, Red Metal. The two women discuss the value of saying 'yes' even when you're terrified, life after Katrina, and the importance of an excellent CPA.

Rachel's blacksmithing practice is wholistic; encompassing art, furniture, architectural elements, activism, collaborations and gardening.  Her work is concerned with social justice, community, and emotional communication both personal and social.  Rachel has been the visiting artist at SIU Carbondale, IL, NOCCA the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts, LA, The Crucible, CA, and Community-First Forge in Austin TX.
