A podcast broaching the subject of value with artists.

Season 9 Trailer: CONNECTOR

A new season of Perceived Value begins on October 7, 2025. Titled CONNECTOR, this special series introduces listeners to Colombian artists whom Sarah Rachel Brown met during her first visit to Colombia earlier this year.

The concept of a “Connector” originates from Malcolm Gladwell’s The Tipping Point, where it describes individuals with a special gift for bridging worlds and introducing people who might never have met otherwise. Sarah embraces this idea through her travels and conversations, bringing together artists, communities, and audiences across cultures.

Season 9 is more than just a podcast series—it runs in parallel with an international exhibition co-curated by Sarah and Medellín-based artist Ana María Jiménez, who is also the season’s first guest. The exhibition, CONNECTOR, features the work of 16 Colombian jewelry artists and opens on November 15, 2025, at Gallery Loupe in Montclair, NJ, just before New York City Jewelry Week.

This trailer sets the stage for a season dedicated to amplifying Colombian voices through the lens of contemporary jewelry and storytelling. Sarah shares how one connection sparked a journey that grew into a podcast series and an international exhibition, weaving together her role as podcaster, curator, and Connector.
